Jane Bruce, Founder Brilliant Leaders

Over the past 20 years, I've led and worked with mission driven organisations of all shapes & sizes across Scotland and the wider UK.

I’ve enjoyed the highs and lows of this challenging work and been through the fire of leadership to build teams and organisations focused on making a genuine impact in the world.

I’m an accredited Executive Coach and obsessed with all forms of people, organisation and performance development.

I’m excited to share what I know from a life of adventure spent running businesses, leading groups up mountains and teams on the football field.

I’d love to work with you to help take your brilliant leadership to the next level.

Jane’s Story

Most recently, Jane was Chief Executive of Social Bite in Scotland. In this role, Jane led a team of 100+ staff and 90 volunteers to run a chain of social enterprise cafes, mass fundraising events and innovative housing programmes.

Previously, Jane was Chief Executive of Venture Scotland, which provides a wilderness-based development programme to young people facing tough challenges.

Jane spent her early career at Cancer Research UK, one of the UK’s largest charities. Based in London, Jane trained in all aspects of fundraising, marketing and communications before leading programmes for the charity’s 30,000 volunteers.

Jane is a Clore Social Fellow and has been a Board Member at Children 1st (Scotland’s national children’s charity) and The Melting Pot (Scotland’s Centre for Social Innovation) and an advisor to many other charities and social enterprises.

In her spare time, Jane is a qualified football coach at Spartans FC Girls’ Academy having previously played football in the Scottish Women’s Premier League.

She is a Mum of two, sports and yoga mad and lover of all things wilderness.

Jane is based in Edinburgh, Scotland and works to support leaders and teams across the UK and beyond.

When Jane first stepped into her leadership role, she began asking us questions. Not questions that made me feel uncomfortable, but the questions that I didn't even realise I'd wanted someone to ask me for a long time.

When I was stressed, her guidance shepherded me through the storm to a place where things made sense again. Coaching with Jane is likely to improve your quality of life, making things simpler while cutting out the negative self-talk that so many of us struggle with today.
